Event Description
In honor of National Lineman Appreciation Day, Pacific Power is proud to sponsor a free screening of Storm Soldiers, a documentary that pays tribute to the people who work every day in potentially hazardous conditions, oftentimes during extreme weather, to provide the country with electrical service.
Enjoy a free, fun evening celebrating the highly-skilled, brave work of linemen at this historic northeast Portland theater!
National Lineman Appreciation Day recognizes the efforts of linemen to keep the power on and protect public safety. Though it’s our sincerest hope that proper safety procedures will keep each of us out of the hospital, there will always be a need for state-of-the-art facilities for patients and their families.
This free screening is a fundraising-effort for the Emanuel Medical Center Foundation, and donations will be accepted. Funds collected will help build a new Family House, which will provide an affordable and convenient place for the the families of patients at the Legacy Oregon Burn Center (the only one in Oregon) and the Level I Trauma Services at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center.
